Two countries, one journey, and the two most famous grasslands in Africa joined end to end. This private safari runs overland from the Maasai Mara across the Isebania border into the Serengeti. It is one ecosystem split by a line on a map, and crossing it by road rather than flying over gives you a sense of the scale that an aircraft flattens out. You have two full days in the Mara before the crossing.
It closes in the Ngorongoro Crater, a collapsed caldera whose walls hold in one of the densest concentrations of wildlife anywhere on the continent, a small surviving population of black rhino among them. You travel privately in a 4×4 Land Cruiser with a hatch roof and a dedicated English-speaking guide in each country. Park fees, accommodation, all meals on safari and airport transfers are included, and nothing runs to a fixed group schedule, so the pace is yours to set.
