The Maasai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s most iconic safari destination and one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife landscapes. Located in southwestern Kenya’s Narok County, it forms the northern extension of the wider Serengeti-Mara ecosystem shared with Tanzania.
The reserve is world famous for the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River, but its resident lion, leopard and cheetah populations make it a rewarding safari destination in any month of the year.
